#GivingTuesday is a national day to celebrate the act of giving back to our communities. This #GivingTuesday, the Resilience Advocacy Project asks you to make a donation and support the impact our youth leaders have on fighting poverty in New York City.
The Resilience Advocacy Project (RAP) trains youth leaders to fight poverty in their communities and advocates for policies that support their efforts. We combine innovative youth leadership training programs with targeted advocacy initiatives to support youth in becoming catalysts for change in their communities. Our programs include youth leadership and advocacy trainings on a range of social justice issues in NYC’s most underserved communities.
RAP’s youth go beyond just the ideas of how to address social issues in their communities: they put their ideas into action through incredible, innovative community-based initiatives!
Check out some examples of the impact of some of RAP’s amazing youth leaders!
A team of youth in our summer YouthLEAP program filmed a role play to highlight the importance of quality guidance counseling in accessing higher education. Check it out:
